Many Moorpark Miracles

We have been very blessed in Moorpark. Yesterday Jessy got confirmed a MEMBER OF THE CHURCH AND...MATT AND EDDY GOT THE ARRONIC PERISTHOOD! what a great day. Next week Jessy will  get the priesthood and Matt and Eddy will be passing the sacrament.

The ward is seeing the fruits of our labor, and  it is nice to hear people’s testimonies about missionary work across the pulpit. we really have gained the trust of the leaders and members. We know that this is a group effort and it's been so great to have extraordinary members here in Moorpark second ward. (dare I say it’s a tossup between Olympus 8th and here?)

We conducted our very first church tour- sadly unlike BYU there is no golf cart involved ;) It went well. Jessy and Matt and Eddy are coming to our lessons with other investigators and they are just shinning with the joy of the gospel. Its official! Jessy says he plans to go on a mission!

but here is my proudest moment. At the open house for Jessy, Matt was taking about car problems. He drives a BRIGHT yellow mustang so you go anywhere around Moorpark you KNOW where matt and eddy are. We asked, "oh no is it dead?" "yes he said rather cheerfully. "Like, DEAD dead?" we asked again. "Yes," he said still smiling and then, "don't worry it will be resurrected." church joke! we were so proud ha.

We also have found two new investigators this week (one went to church, I will have to tell you more about them later...).

It is hard to work hard all the time (imagine that) but the work is so rewarding. I love talking to people about the gospel. BUT get this- not everyone LIKES talking about it to us. the other day  the first four doors on a street were all EXTRA mean. Some yelling, some slamming, and some women that wouldn't open the door but told us they weren't interested through the door. But later that day we had many miracles. I feel as though my whole mission I will look back at Moorpark and say, "Wow, I didn't know how good I had it." We had a great lesson with Sister Alperts husband who is a nonmember. they have a son on a mission, and we had no idea what we were going to say going in. But the lord guided us and it went very well. Sis Alpert is one of my favorites. She looks like Bett Middler.

Speaking of Look alikes there is a woman in the ward who LOOKS and TALKS and ACTS like Anmy Pholer. It is so great to behold. In Relief society the president was reminding the sister which couples were assigned to do temple work that weekend."...and sister martin" she said, "oh we suck. we're going to a concert." Ha!

I know my savior loves me, and I know he loves others. I hope to love everyone I come in contact with as much as those I have taught and accepted the gospel. The relationship I have with him and my father in heaven is very precious to me. I love this work and I love all of you!
