This week is short. I
apologize. This picture is of me and sonny (the member’s dog) we took him
for a walk today and this is us at the End Sign or shall we say Ensign...to the
nations ;)
I love the lord, I
love this work, and I love being a missionary. Right now I am reading the
New Testament and just stared revelations today, so that’s exciting. I haven't
decided what I'm going to read next. Isaiah maybe? sister higgins was sick the
other day and I asked, "what can I do for you?" she said that I
should read her the book of Mormon. She's at the Isaiah chapters and wanted to
get them over with. So I read them out loud and they actually made a lot more
sense! so we will see. Christ quotes Isaiah more than any other prophet and
Nephi says that we should not be ignorant regarding his prophesies, so I'm
gonna put forth a faith and effort, and I know I will get something out
of it! maybe not mounds of scholarly discourse, but a few insights that will
help me in my day to day life. That's what I love about the scriptures. they
can always apply to us and help us!!
"I can do
all things through Christ which strengthen me"Philippians 4:13
"Wherefore
be ye not unwise but understanding what the will of the Lord is."
Ephesians 5:17
I simply need/must
have faith that God is making me who he wants me to be, and his grace is
sufficient to support me. However to gain access to it, I must work with all my
heart, might, mind and strength.
You reap what
you sow, and sister higgins and I are planting seeds here in Santa Maria.
