Hello
family and friends and strangers who stalk me (I'd like to take this time to
give a special shout out to sis mason's dad: hello there).
simi is great! very
different than any areas I’ve been to in a while. It's hot, I like that. I
don't get cold at night. We got to give talks at church on Sunday which is a
great way to jump into a new ward. I spent most of third hour trying to
remembers everyone’s names inn my head. the members are very willing to help
which is great. there are a lot of gated communities here, so I feel like a
runaway at times. ha.
There are 93 sisters
in our mission. 54 with English speaking assignments. there are 6 sister
training leaders and each of those 3 companionships will be working with 8
sister companionships. so I will be going on 8 different exchanges this
transfer. Because Simi is so close, I will be going on transfers to Moorpark 2
and Agoura 2nd (past areas I’ve served in)!
It's been fun to work
with my old MTC companion and see all the things she's learned while being out
here. she has blossomed into a wonderful missionary.
Being an "older
missionary" I am learning that I still have lots to learn1 I am excited
for what all the sisters will teach me this transfer. I've prayed to stay
humble, and he's definitely helping me with that ;)
But today I also
realized there is a whole other aspect of humility I hadn't realized in preach
my gospel pg 120 it says under humility:
"You are
confident that you can do whatever the Lord requires of you, if you rely on
Him."
as we are humble God
will bring about great things through us! what a great work missionary work is.
