A perfect Anchor
"Wherefore whoso
believeth in God might with a surety hope for a better world, even a place at
the right hand of God, which HOPE cometh of faith, maketh and anchor to the
souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in
good works, being led to glorify god." ether 12:4
Not only can we
hope (meaning, place trust in god FULFILLING his promises) for a better
world, but a better, more refined, more pure version of ourselves. When I say
pure I don't just mean free from sin, but free from the effects of sin. Sin
distances us from God and damns (or stops) our eternal destiny to become like
him. when sin we become less ourselves and more of a pseudo, false, empty void
creature, who searches endlessly trying to find something to quench it's
never ending thirst. Christ is the answer, he is the living water. his words
and his way bring life to the hearers. It’s like being an "All natural, no
preservatives added" food product, oh and no artificial colors or
flavoring.
God is for us, but
sometimes we are against ourselves. that is what I see on my mission. people
getting in their own way of feeling true joy. I feel indescribable joy in
righteousness, in family, in kindness, and service. Christ church is on the
earth. I am grateful to be his missionary.
Stay anchored in his
love. Abide in me he says, hope in him. TRUST that god will keep his promises.
Just as you can trust an anchor will sink if you drop down the line. that's all
god asks us to do. drop the line, surrender our will, and let his perfect work-
work!
Love,
Sis Snow
