The Subtle Magnificence of God's hand

The lords ways are only mysterious to those who will not acknowledge him. Everyday there are evidences of his hand in our lives. We are vastly important to him, with the holy ghost and his perfect timing, he moves us all around like pawns infused into his master plan. we each can be an effective cog to bring about His purposes. I have seen miracles this week as I have every other week. miracles are simply manifestations of his divine power. Its recognizing and seeing his hand in our day to day. the miracle really isn't that he did such and such, but that he cares enough to let us know how much he loves us. that's the miracle in our hearts and mind- that the creator of the universe reaches out in subtle magnificent ways. these are called tender mercies.

Here was one for God's daughter named Vonda. Her parents are from Hungry. It was illegal for them to practice religion, she is very open, but doesn't think there is on being or thing called god. she was having a bad day at work. She is constantly in the middle of her arguing divorced parents and brother. She leaves the house at 7:50 pm in a rush walking to her garage to get in her car and quote, "Do something stupid" All of a sudden two strangers on the sidewalk ask her if she is an artist. "No, but my mom is!" she points to the easel in the garage with some drawings, "She's really great. there are more in the house, want to come see?"  The girls say yes and introduced themselves as sister snow and sister solorzano. This is very uncharacteristic of her to do, but it was a whim.

The girls look at the art work and talk about life, family, positive, god, friends. She tells them it is not like her to invite people in but she was glad she did. She says she’s open to religion and has talked to people from their church before. Before the leave one of the sisters asks if they can say a prayer with her, "Sure" she says. "Is there anything in particular we can pray for? anything you are struggling with? If it's too personal, you don't have to answer. Wow. She started crying and talking about her parents’ divorce and how she had a hard day. "It was no coincidence that you walked by at that moment." The sisters boldly told her it all happened because she has a father in heaven who LOVES HER. WHO KNOWS HER and that the feeling she felt right then was god’s love. She can get it again as she reads the book of Mormon. They prayed together, hugged and cried. All the while marveling how God put the three of them together.

I know that god loves us he hears and answers his children’s prayers, EVEN when we do not realize we are prayer, he will answer the cry of a wounded heart, but we must keep our eyes open and follow the spirit so we can help others see god’s love for them. It doesn't matter what religion you are, what country you live in, the social class to which you belong: GOD WANTS YOU TO KNOW HE IS THERE. He wants others to know he is there. Let us open our eyes and see the opportunities we have to help the portion of humanity god has given us. All the while, following the best and greatest exemplar, the Savior of the World.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
