Gotta have Faith, Faith , FAITH

"Faith leads to action, including faith and obedience and dedicated service. when you have faith in Jesus Christ, you trust the Lord enough to follow his commandments even when you do not completely understand them." preach my gospel pg 116
there are promptings or rules I do not understand. But this much I do: that when we follow the Lord we will be blessed.
We were driving and going to go home for lunch but I felt like we should see a girl named Dani who has been coming to church. We've had some awkward conversations with her, haven't got her to relate to us yet and I want excited to heed this prompting, but I drove there anyway. we had to turn around to find a spot and as we did a lady flagged us down. she was having car problems. We parked by her to give her a jump. A member saw us with the badges and stopped by to see if we needed help. We were telling Cherri (the woman in distress) that we were missionaries. she was apologizing thinking we were on a lunch break or something, we explained how we love talking to people and that we do it all day. The member ended up using his car to jump hers. as the battery was charging we talked to her about the book of mormon. She was very receptive. when we told her Christ had a modern day prophet she gasped, "that makes sense!" I've always wondered why they aren't around anymore if they used to be."

We got her address and set up an appointment for the next day. The next day when we went the apartment number didn't exist. She told us (or at least I heard) "1250" but building 12 and all the buildings only go from 01-16. we tried knocking the doors in building 12. ones that sounded like 50 so 15 and 03 and got through half the others before lunch, but we did not find her. I am not worried. the lord placed our paths together and she received a book of mormon- what a blessing! I know god will lead her back to the church. she has our address for the church, the time, and a restoration pamphlet. It was a wonderful time meeting her. it’s one of those moments you KNOW the lord is directing you. He orchestrates our lives so beautifully. when we let him ;)

we had a great experience with a referral Saturday night. the couple was home, invited us in and had lots of questions. They were enthusiastic and open. I was not able to explain the apostasy adequately, and so to clarify, I grabbed preach my gospel from my bag and we read that section with them. Craig found it fascinating and wanted a copy to look over and study. He is very intellectual, but there is faith based sincerity there to. as he and his wife knelled by their coffee table for the closing prayer, I couldn't help but imagine them knelling in the temple. what wonderful blessings god has to offer them!

How is your study of the atonement for 15 minutes a day going?
because he has a lot of blessings to offer you too!
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in my ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

If you want peace, surrender your heart to him
if you want joy, pray to see joy.
in all ways acknowledge him and he will show his hand forth in greater measure.

I have seen this principle of exercising faith followed by a confirmation of faith in my life many times. I see it every day on my mission. I can see it, you can see it, anytime you choose to. but to do so, we must live for the lord and do his will. when we lose our life for Christ sake we find it.
It's the days that I think the less about myself that I receive the most joy. Don't get me wrong, I am by far imperfect. but this gospel has helped me. Christ has helped me. and I will continue to let him help me. examine all aspects of your life and let him do the same.

Love,

Sister Snow
